Chocolate Chip Meringues

Ingredients
- 2 egg whites
- 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
- 3/4 C sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 6 oz chocolate chips
Instructions

Preheat oven to 300°F.

Beat
egg whites until stiff, but not too stiff. -
Add
cream of tartar . -
Continue beating while gradually adding
sugar . -
Beat until very stiff.

Fold in chips and
vanilla . (Variation: Replacechocolate chips with 2-3 T Cocoa powder. Use mixer to mix in slowly then stir in or fold invanilla .) -
Drop by teaspoons on ungreased cookie sheet.

Put in oven and turn oven off. Come back in 2 hours. More time doesn't hurt. I usually leave them in overnight. Don't open the door to check them!
