Ginger Garlic Chicken with Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 8 oz haricots
  • 4 cuisse de poulet, boneless, skinless
  • 1/2 medium oignon
  • 2 cloves ail
  • 1 1/2 inch gingembre, piece
  • 2 Tbsp huile
  • 2 tsp sauce soja
  • 1/2 cup eau
  • 1/2 cup basilique, feuilles
  • poivre
  • hot sauce, optional
  • crushed red pepper flakes, optional

Instructions

Cut the meat into bite-size pieces. Coarsely chop the onion. Smash, peel and mince the garlic. Peel ginger root then grate or mince to yield at least 2 tsp. Cut the beans into 1-inch lengths.

Heat the oil in a deep saute pan. Add the onion, garlic and ginger; stir-fry for about 40", then add the chicken. Stir-fry for about 4'.

Add the beans and soy sauce; stir-fry for 1', then add the water. Cover and cook 3-4', then uncover, drop in the basil leaves and season. Add spicy component begore dishing out.
